Our Story

Silver Spring Leatherworks was founded in 2025 in Lancaster, PA by Samuel Kniesly in his senior year of high school. Samuel is a home school graduate and active volunteer firefighter. Samuel began his fire service journey as a junior firefighter at West Hempfield Fire & Rescue, which would later merge with Mountville Fire Company to create Iron Ridge Fire Rescue. Silver Spring Leatherworks is a business that strives to keep tradition alive by making each and every product completely by hand with only the highest quality materials available. Our ethos “Crafted NEVER Copied” represent the goal of this business to craft original products.
