Assembled with brass rivets. Each chinstrap is crafted from 8-9 oz. high quality cowhide leather. There are two options for fasteners, the first is nickel snap connectors (compatible with Cairns leather helmets and brass band conversion helmets with chinstrap clips) and Chicago screws (compatible with most composite and Phenix TL-2 helmets). If you choose the Chicago screws utilize thread locker to prevent the screws from vibrating loose. To install a chinstrap that has Chicago screws use a T25 or flat head screwdriver. Each chinstrap is 30"-32" long (approximately) depending on which variation is purchased. No chinstrap is the same as the next.
